About The Landing, NY
The Landing, which is also known as the Village of the Landing was part of Suffolk County's Town of Smithtown. This short-lived incorporated village had a population of 144 as of the 1930 census. Back then, it had maintained only about four miles of roads. When it was disincorporated, maintenance and oversight of the roads were then passed on to the Town of Smithtown.
