The census-designated place (CDP) of Wheatley Heights in New York's Suffolk County, is part of the Town of Babylon. During the 2010 census, it had a population of 5,130. The CDP was historically a part of the hamlet of Wyandanch, until that name was changed to Wheatley Heights by Thomas A. Brown, its then postmaster.
